Frequently Asked Questions
New to using tools like this online? You're in the right place. Below are plain, simple answers to the questions people ask us most — no technical knowledge needed. If you don't find your answer here, our Contact page is always open.
Getting started
- Do I need to create an account or sign up?
- No. There's no sign-up and no login. Just open any calculator and start typing your numbers in.
- Is this website really free?
- Yes. Every calculator is free to use, with no hidden fees, no subscription, and no limit on how many times you use it.
- Do I need to download an app?
- No. Everything works right in your phone or computer's web browser — the same place you'd check email or read the news. There's nothing to install.
- How do I use a calculator?
- Three steps: pick a calculator from the "Calculators" menu at the top of the page (or the homepage), type your numbers into the boxes, then press the "Calculate" button to see your result.
- What if I don't know what number to put in a box?
- Most boxes explain what they mean in small gray text underneath. Some boxes are optional and can be left blank — the calculator will use a reasonable placeholder number instead, and will always tell you clearly when it's done that.
Your privacy
- Do you save or see the numbers I type in?
- No. The moment you close or leave the page, everything you typed is gone. The actual numbers you enter into a calculator — revenue, costs, loan amounts, anything — are never sent to us or stored anywhere.
- Is it safe to enter my real business numbers?
- Yes — see the previous answer. We do use a small amount of anonymous, aggregate visit tracking (to see which calculators are popular) and display advertising, but neither of those ever includes the numbers you type into a calculator. Full details are on our Privacy Policy.
- Why do I see advertisements on the page?
- Some pages may show ads from third-party partners. They don't affect your results in any way and are never placed inside the calculator itself. See our Privacy Policy for details on the advertising and cookies used on this site.
Using your results
- How accurate are the results?
- As accurate as the numbers you put in. Every calculator shows the formula it uses, and if it made an assumption for you (like a default cost estimate for a box you left blank), that's always clearly labeled so you know it's a general placeholder, not your real number.
- Can I print or save my results?
- Yes. Use your browser's print option — usually Ctrl+P on a Windows computer, or Cmd+P on a Mac — and choose "Save as PDF" instead of a printer if you'd like a digital copy.
- Does this work on my phone or tablet?
- Yes. Every calculator works the same way on a phone, tablet, or computer — just open the page in your browser like you would any website.
- How do I change the currency or units, like miles versus kilometers?
- Each calculator has small buttons near the top for switching currency and units. There's also a country selector in the top-right of every page that sets a starting default for you, which you can always change.
Getting help
- I think a calculator gave me the wrong answer. What do I do?
- Please let us know on our Contact page — tell us which calculator you used and what numbers you entered, and we'll take a look.
- I don't see my country, or a calculator I need. What do I do?
- Use the "Let us know" link in the country menu at the top of any page, or reach out through Contact. We add new countries and calculators based on requests like yours.
- Who do I talk to if my question isn't answered here?
- Email us any time through the Contact page. We usually reply within 1-2 business days.
