About TruckProfit Tools
TruckProfit Tools is a growing platform of free trucking calculators built to help owner-operators, independent drivers, dispatchers, and small fleet owners make more informed business decisions. Whether you're evaluating a load, calculating operating costs, or planning profitability, our goal is to provide accurate, transparent, and easy-to-use tools that save time and improve decision-making.
We believe trucking professionals deserve practical tools that are fast, reliable, and easy to understand. Every calculator is designed to answer one specific question clearly, without unnecessary complexity or hidden calculations.
How the calculators work
Every calculator runs entirely within your browser. The numbers you enter — revenue, mileage, fuel prices, operating costs — remain on your device and are never transmitted to or stored on a server. Each calculator's underlying formula is implemented in its own dedicated calculation module, kept separate from the page itself, and is covered by automated tests that check its output against known correct results, including zero, negative, and boundary values. Every calculator explains the formula it uses, shows a worked example, and clearly labels any default assumption it applies so you can see exactly how a result was generated.
Assumptions and limitations
Where a calculator falls back to a default assumption for a value you didn't provide, that assumption is shown alongside the result, not applied silently. Every calculator also has a dedicated "Limitations" section describing what it does not account for, so its scope is stated rather than implied. Calculator results are estimates and should be verified independently before making an important business decision.
What This Website Is Not
TruckProfit Tools is an educational resource and decision-support platform. It does not provide financial, accounting, legal, tax, or lending advice, nor does it replace professional guidance tailored to your individual circumstances. For additional information, please review our Terms of Use.
Reporting an error
If a calculator produces a result that looks wrong, or uses a formula that doesn't match how you'd expect the calculation to work, please report it through the Contact page — include which calculator you used and the numbers you entered. Corrections are made directly to the calculation code behind the tool, not just the page text.
TruckProfit Tools currently supports the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. More countries are added as trucking businesses in them ask for support — if yours isn't listed yet, that reflects where support has been built so far, not who these tools are meant for.
